Sheets = ((Perimeter × Height − Openings) × (1 + Waste%)) ÷ 32
A standard 4×8 sheet covers 32 sq ft. This tool estimates walls only; add separate ceiling area if needed.
Quick Planning Notes
- Use 10% waste for simple rectangular rooms, 15%+ for many cuts.
- Joint compound estimate uses about 0.06 gal/sq ft finished area.
- Screw estimate uses ~35 screws per 4×8 sheet.
